CLOSURE OF THE PHYSICAL STUDIO
The collective has reluctantly elected not to take on a new lease for the property at St. Peters and has vacated it from December 1, 2018. This action was due to an unprecedented 315% increase in rental fee put forward by the landlord - the SA Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure. This came after a frustrating 12 month period of departmental disruptions.
The artists thank everyone who has followed their practices and supported them in various ways. It has been a great ride, even if it was a runaway roller coaster at times.
Yellow Door Studio now continues in the form of this on-line gallery, and the entries on the individual artist pages will soon reflect this.
Elizabeth Wojciak, Tom Phillips, Linda Lee and Suzie Gardiner have joined the artist studios associated with Praxis Gallery in Bowden.
Adrian Caon, Stephen Edwards and Cheryl Nolan are considering their options.
Cheers.
